The CFPO has over 160 member vessels from harbours and coves around the Cornish coast and beyond. Our members’ fleet ranges from under-10m vessels such as potters and handliners through to over-10m vessels such as the beamers and trawlers.

Our members use a range of fishing methods including beam trawl, trawl, ring net, gill net, tangle/trammel net, pot and handlining.

One of the key objectives of the CFPO is to be the authoritative voice for Cornish fishermen and ensure their interests are defended and represented across regional, national and international forums.

The CFPO is always keen to hear directly from its members which is why the Chief Executive, Chris Ranford, has an open-door policy: members are encouraged to the contact CFPO office or Chief Executive at any time (in person, in writing, by telephone, by email or via social media) to raise concerns, suggest items for consideration at meetings, or ask any questions about policy or management.
